Outback Sunset
This is my thirteenth painting in the 30 in 30 painting challenge. 12"hx8.5"w. It was an amazing, clear, crisp day today at twelve degrees, with a few mishaps. I drove to a site in a quarry lot near my house and set up my easel to paint large granite slabs next to an old crane. I stepped away for a minute and when I returned my easel had toppled over due to wind catching the umbrella. My pallet of paint was embedded with snow. I was like spreading crunchy peanut butter on soft bread. I couldn't paint anyway because I had forgotten my Gamsol. So I packed up and returned home and found a great composition right outback.
