Time Out at Union Wharf
8" w x 9 1/8"h, oil on panel
What I love about painting at the waterfront in Portland are the narrow inlets between the wharfs and the mass of working boats docked bow to stern. The color is vivid and the water wildly reflects it. A fisherman came up to me saying: "Paint this for posterity, in a few years all these boats will be gone, replaced with yachts".
